Data Analysis Courses UK

Data Science Training Course Types

We run a variety of Data Analysis Courses in the UK (and online). Our Training Courses in Data Analysis include: Statistics Training, Using Excel, Learning R, Data Visualisation and Ecological Data Analysis.

Data Analysis Courses for Beginners in Data Science focus on using Excel (or a similar spreadsheet), which is familiar and widely available. These UK-based training courses focus on the foundations of Data Science:

  • Data Summary.
  • Basic Hypothesis Testing.
  • Data Visualisation.

Data Analysis Courses for more Advanced Users focus on using R: The Statistical Programming Language, which is a popular Open Source program, widely used by academia, business and government. These UK-based training courses focus on the skills you need to use R, including:

  • Data Summary.
  • Predictive Analysis (Regression and Linear Modelling).
  • Machine Learning.
  • Cluster Analysis.
  • Data Visualisation.
  • Data Mining.
  • Ecological Data Analysis.

Courses are usually 1–2 days in length. We can also prepare bespoke courses to suit your specific training needs. Data Analysis Courses can also be presented in workshop form, where the focus in on your own data. Our Data Analysis Training Courses are held at our UK-based training centres, at your workplace, or online via our web conferencing software.

R Training Course

We run various R Training Courses. These Training Courses cover various topics in Data Science using R: The Statistical Programming Language, which is a powerful and flexible Open Source program used by business, academia, government and many others.

Our R Training Courses cover various topics, for example:

  • Beginning R – An introduction to using R for Data Science.
  • Data Mining – Learn to use R for data exploration, including machine learning and predictive analysis.
  • Data Visualisation – Learn to use R to visualise data in the most effective manner.

We can also prepare bespoke courses to suit your needs. R Training Courses can also be presented in workshop form, where the focus in on your own data. Our R Training Courses are held at our UK-based training centres, at your workplace, or via our online web conferencing system. Courses are usually 1–2 days in duration but we can be commissioned for longer events, to suit your specific requirements.

Statistics Training Courses

Our Statistics Training Courses come in two varieties: those that need no special software (a spreadsheet is all you need), and those that use R: The Statistical Programming Language.

For Beginners our Statistics Training Courses focus on the basics and are suitable for those starting out in Data Science. During these statistics training courses, you will need nothing more than a computer spreadsheet. Excel is ideal, as it is familiar and widely available. Statistics Training Courses for Beginners include various topics, for example:

  • Learn to use summary statistics to make data more understandable.
  • Learn how to make decisions about differences, correlations and associations in your data using various statistics tests.
  • Learn how to make professional looking graphs and charts that help you and others understand your data.

For more Advanced Users our Statistics Training Courses use the R, a sophisticated Open Source program widely used for data analysis and visualisation. The Statistics Training Courses using R cover a range of topics, including:

  • Summary Statistics.
  • Machine Learning.
  • Regression & Predictive Analysis.
  • Cluster Analysis.

Our Statistics Training Courses are held at our UK-based training centres or at your workplace. Alternatively we can host online training courses via our web conferencing system. Courses are usually 1–2 days in length but we can be commissioned for longer courses, to suit your specific requirements.

Ecological Data Analysis Courses

Our Ecological Data Analysis Courses focus on the requirements of ecology and environmental science. We use R: The Statistical Programming Language in our Ecological Data Analysis Courses, as it has all the tools you need to explore and analyse ecological data.

You’ll learn the skills you need to analyse ecological data, using appropriate examples. Ecological data is often “messy” and complicated, which can make analysis difficult (but fun). Topics that are particular to ecology include:

  • Ecological Diversity.
  • Community Ecology.
  • Multivariate Analysis (Ordination).

During our Training Courses you will learn how to use R to explore and analyse your ecological data as well as visualising results using appropriate graphs and charts.

We can also prepare bespoke courses to suit your specific training needs. Ecological Data Analysis Courses can also be presented in workshop form, where the focus in on your own data. Our Training Courses are held at our UK-based training centres or at your workplace. We can also host online training courses using our web conferencing system.
