Data Visualisation using R (DR202)
This training course is about Data Visualisation using : The Statistical Programming Language. R is widely used as a data analysis tool and data visualisation is an important part of that. In this training course Data Visualisation using R (DR202) you’ll learn some of the basics of data visualisation, as well as more advanced graphical methods. Visual presentation of data and results is an important part of data analysis, and a key element in data mining as well as reporting. A good graph or chart can make your data and results understandable to you, your colleagues, clients or customers.

Data Visualisation using R
Who should attend
Presentation of data and results is fundamentally important in making your analyses accessible to others. This course is for everyone who works with data and therefore needs to present data and results graphically.
What you will learn/course outline
This Learning R for Data Visualization training course covers a range of topics, including:
- Basic charting.
- Charts for data distribution.
- Plots exploring differences in groups.
- Relationships between variables.
- Compositional data.
- Exploratory charts.
- Scatter plot matrices.
- Conditioning plots.
- Lattice graphs.
- Interaction plots.
- Adding to charts.
- Additional data series.
- Best-fit lines.
- Customizing graphical parameters.
- Altering margins.
- Working with colour.
- Changing graphical parameters.
- Saving graphs.
- Export graphics to disk files.
Prerequisites
Some prior experience of using R would be useful, as you will focus on the graphical capabilities of R. No particular knowledge of statistical analysis is required.
What to bring
You’ll simply need a computer and the R program. A spreadsheet is also helpful, but not essential. Online courses are delivered using the software, which is available for Windows or Macintosh computers. Support material is supplied online, usually via Google Classroom.
You can get R from the . We also recommend using , which is a useful “wrapper” for R. RStudio is very useful and has many additional features that help “drive” R.
How Long does the Data Visualisation using R Course Last?
The duration of the Data Visualisation using R training course is two days (starting at 9.30am and ending around 4.30pm).
Since COVID-19 online courses have been more popular. All our data training courses are available online, which means we can be flexible about dates. We can also arrange training at our main training centre in London, or at your workplace. At the moment there are no set dates for courses but you can to see details of forthcoming events.
Our main training centre is at 107, Cheapside, London EC2V 6DN. This is right in the heart of London and is close to Bank and St. Paul’s underground stations.
